As a Senior Technical Project Manager with Resource Data, you will lead the delivery of complex custom software solutions that improve the efficiency, performance, and value of enterprise systems. Working closely with clients and a team of technical consultants, you will bridge business and technical domains to scope, plan, and deliver solutions within defined timelines and budgets.

The team is currently leading a content integration suite migration, which involves analyzing business processes and technical workflows in legacy systems, reverse engineering their functionality, and translating them into clear implementation plans for a modern integration platform.

This is a multi-faceted role that requires experience in a few different disciplines:

Technical Leadership: Analyze legacy applications and understand underlying logic to guide migration to modern architectures such as MVC-based platforms.
Business Analysis: Translate discovered business and technical processes into clear, actionable requirements and developer-ready deliverables.
Project Management: Plan, track, and manage workstreams and deliverables using tools such as Azure DevOps.
Quality Assurance: Validate services and integrations through functional and service-level testing using tools such as Swagger.

The ideal candidate comes from a software development background and has transitioned to a role focused on delivering technical solutions from a perspective of business alignment and technical guidance. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and enforce project governance (plans, schedules, budgets), risk management, and quality assurance
  • Work with the project team to document standards, project deliverables, and requirements
  • Collect information through codebase reviews, subject matter interviews, business documents, project notes, and other contextual information
  • Document technical and business processes/workflows in narrative and diagrammatic forms following Resource Data, client, and industry standards and guidelines
  • Lead and direct teams of software developers, business analysts, testers, and architects to deliver on client projects
  • Mitigate risks and proactively identify and resolve project issues
  • Collaborate with contract team on estimates, proposals, and planning activities

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of related professional experience in project management or delivery leadership roles
  • Hands-on experience with .NET development patterns (specifically MVC)
  • Experience conducting service-level QA testing with tools like Swagger or Postman
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps or other project management planning and reporting tools
  • Experience writing user stories and gathering technical requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with clients in a consulting role
  • Industry knowledge in energy/utilities
  • PMP and Agile Certifications
  • Experience with Balsamiq (or other design tools) a plus
