Information Security Analyst
Location: US (remote)
As an Information Security Analyst with Resource Data, you’ll help safeguard enterprise systems and data by implementing and maintaining security measures. You’ll support day-to-day monitoring, issue resolution, and incident response while contributing to risk assessments and compliance efforts. Working closely with IT teams and senior security staff, you’ll gain hands-on experience and play a key role in strengthening our clients’ overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, test, and evaluate security software, system upgrades/patches, governance, and practices
- Analyze client IT requirements and provide recommendations on security needs
- Perform vulnerability assessments and assist with remediation efforts
- Gather end-user feedback and suggest improvements to security practices
- Support the design, analysis, and implementation of IT security systems under senior staff guidance
- Monitor data and security access, review logs, and report issues
- Contribute to the development of plans and protocols to prevent unauthorized access or data loss
- Conduct basic incident response actions, including data collection, documentation, and escalation
- Assist with penetration testing under the direction of senior staff
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, or an Associate’s degree plus relevant experience, certifications, or internships
- 1+ years' experience in a role involving GRC (governance, risk, and compliance), security orchestration and incident response/automation
- 1+ years' experience in vulnerability scanning, patch management, and basic incident response
- Knowledge of firewalls, antivirus, and IDPS concepts
- Experience installing security software and documenting issues
- Ability to build rapport and earn trust with client teams
- Available for collaboration between 8-5PM AKT
Preferred Qualifications
- Security certifications such as Network+, Security+, CASP, GSEC, SSCP, or CEH
- SOC experience doing security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response
- Familiarity with penetration testing techniques
- Worked directly with customers in a consulting role
