As a Senior Software Engineer with Resource Data, you’ll play a crucial role on a team of technical consultants to design and develop various business solutions. The team will augment a client's early-stage product team where your thought leadership will directly impact the maturity of the team's practices, as well as the success and growth of solutions.

You’ll work closely with designers, product managers, and fellow developers to build seamless and scalable solutions. Using React and Redux for the front-end and Node.js for the back-end, you’ll develop a robust and high-performance system while ensuring data integrity and efficiency with PostgreSQL. Your expertise will help shape the technical direction of solutions, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, develop, and test software modules in support of clients' software application development projects
  • Deliver solutions with Agile project teams that adhere to business needs, technical requirements, workflow, budget, timeline, and resources
  • Provide subject matter expertise in building estimates, proposals, and architectural trade-offs
  • Develop and maintain the interactive layer of built solutions using React and Redux
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient APIs using Node.js
  • Manage and optimize the database using PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and performance
  • Work closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to create a seamless user experience
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack, from front-end UI to back-end services.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience developing full-stack software solutions using JavaScript frameworks and libraries (React/Redux, node.js, express.js)
  • Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, including schema design, queries, and performance tuning
  • Experience developing custom software solutions on an Agile software development team
  • Ability to interact with business users, product managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions without requiring step-by-step direction
  • Proven track record in consulting, advising, or working directly with clients on technology-driven projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience consulting directly to customers in a client-facing role
  • Experience utilizing user data and client feedback to guide product feature development
  • Experience developing backend solutions in the Microsoft stack is a plus (.NET, .NET Core, Entity Framework, SQL, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a closely related field
